We filmed an interview with Amber Beaulieu: a mother and wife with 3 kids. We interviewed her hobby on crochet, and how it changed the world. Amber has been crocheting since the start of the pandemic. It helps relax and calm the mind, and keeps her entertained throughout the day.

Along with the interview, lots of videos have title sequences, an introduction to the video. The first part of this project was to create a title sequence for our interview. The video should be themed like the interview. The duration of the animation is 30 seconds long, not included in the interview sequence render time.

95% of the storyboard made it into the final animation. The tape measure didn’t make it to the final piece. At first, it didn’t look like we had 30 seconds worth of a storyboard. The title of the interview at the end was going to become a live action clip, but didn’t work out in the end. Instead, the word crochet is digital and is traced into the scene spelling out the word.

This was a nice interview to shoot. It was nice having Amber discuss her experiences in crochet and how It has influenced her life and others.
