The purpose of this project was to collect two movies in decade from 1970’s up to the 2010’s. These movies are to be described and have added information such as director, release date, other films, and trivia. In this layout, we used a new concept of creating clipping masks on the year and title of the film for a unique feel.

The unique design uses a clipping mask for the genre to create a continuous looking photo that’s blending into the white page. The name of the movie is just the clipping mask by itself, using images from the movie. On top on the right page is a quote from each movie. This layout is the same across all of the pages.

This project was a unique layout design to do. The movies were picked through the most favorited movies of each decade. The design page with the decade is the most favorited part of the project. This was a learning experience with learning more about the movies and recieving critics throughout. This project could have been improved by adding the other films and trivia. It was unsure of where and how to place the elements on the layout along with a limited amount of time. The final result ended up with a more basic layout. In the future, this clipping mask type feature can be used for better future projects.
